Blueberry Peach Cobbler Dump Cake
Okay, so maybe not the most attractive name out there BUT hang in there with me on this one.
What You’ll Need:
1 stick of butter (to grease pan, cut 12 thin slices of butter off)
2 (15.25) canned peaches in heavy syrup
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 boxed white cake mix (you can also use a spiced cake for the holidays or a yellow cake for a buttery flavor)
The How To:
Preheat oven to 350°
Take stick of butter and roll it across the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13 baking dish
Add one cup of frozen blueberries and “dump” (getting it now?) them into the baking dish
Take the dry cake mix and sprinkle 1/2 of it over the blueberries
Next, “dump” one can of peaches over the cake mix, heavy syrup and all
Reserve some heavy syrup from the second can of peaches, then add remaining contents of can over the mixture
Add remaining dry cake mix over the top of the peaches
Take a fork and even out the surface of the mixture. Use the tines of the fork to “shake” the cake mixture down to the bottom of the baking dish by placing them into the mixture and gently shaking the fork back and forth.
Grab the reserved heavy syrup and pour it over the cobbler ingredients, gently mix
Place tabs of butter on top of cobbler, spaced apart 3 in a row for 4 rows
Bake for 45-55 minutes until top is golden brown and cobbler is cooked through.
